Long-distance move from Texas to California

Finest Movers & Movinginsurance.com.

I have used professional movers more than a dozen times admittedly always for overseas shipments (which you would think were more difficult) but FINEST MOVERS are by far the worst moving company I have ever experienced. I had little or no problems with any of the others I used & have never made a claim. So many things went wrong with this move I can barely begin to detail it however most all of the problems stemmed from their complete lack of communication once the order had been placed & deposit made. They just did not want to discuss anything. I was transferred repeatedly & half the time the calls were dropped. The original estimate they provided was out by 100% ($5.5 initially) they almost doubled the price & you have no right of refusal once they have your shipment loaded. Unless you want it sall unpacked. Although I did add a few additional items I withdrew several also but they still insisted on doubling the cost. Everytime I tried to calll them they would either not answer my call or it went to a machine - no calls were ever returned & I made dozens. Their answers were typically snippy & short and usually I was told to call back later. The van they originally sent was too small to take my shipment & arrived 5 hours late. They returned the next day to finish packing. The van was very old & leaked oil all over my driveway. The shipment was put into storage for 2 months & it took FINEST MOVERS 3 weeks to find a truck to deliver my shipment. The date changed 3 times & until I threatened legal action would have taken even longer. When it was finally delivered I noticed several items damaged  & commented to the movers who told me I had 30 days to detail & photograph everything & submit a claim. I did so but the claim was DENIED because they said it has to be made "within 48hrs"..I had over 100 boxes & other items to unpack & inspect..totally unrealistic to expect anyone to undertake this within 48 hours (espcially provide details & photographs). I had to resubmit everything to the Insurance company (MOVINGINSURANCER.com) recommended by FINEST MOVERS) who told me that FINEST MOVERS would not return their calls..surprise surprise - I could have told them that. The "documentation" provided by FINEST MOVERS was almost illegible & my copy could hardly be read. Bottom line I would not recommend FINEST MOVERS or the Insurance Company to move anything of mine in future & the Insurance was a total waste of money too. A bitter experience & one I hope no one else has to go through. Extremely unprofessional service AFTER deposit made. Once they have your stuff you are totally at their mercy & they know it!  .

The reality is this. Some clients are impossible to please. Mr. Hunter had alot more items than what was indicated when we did the quote. He added alot of boxes and some items that he said he would sell he kept to move so obviously the price increased. we did make him aware of the price increase prior to loading the goods. The damages he incurred was to some extremel old, and worn furniture ( see the picture of the chair leg he posted) items this old do not travel well during a move and while we try our best to protect the goods if the items are already in damaged shape there is only so much we can do. We have cooperated with the third party insurance to facilitate the claim process. we apologize for any difficulties incurred by the client.

Long-distance move from Florida to Oklahoma

Finest Movers Gets an A from me !!

I am a school teacher and needless to say the pay isn't great. So I did not have a huge budget to pull off my move to Oklahoma. Alot of the companies that quoted me were simply too expensive. I got a quote from one company and the price was sooo much lower and the rep was nice that I booked with them. Well then I kept getting calls from movers to which  I responded I am all set however when Collin called me to follow up about the quote he gave me we started to conversate some and when I told him the price I got he told me that there had to be a catch and that while he would never disparage any other company I should look into the company I choose. When I did I found why the price was so cheap. The internet was full of stories were clients had their stuff badly damaged, lost and deliveries that simply were never done because of ridiculous add on charges that were never disclosed till after pick up was completed. Thank goodness Collin found me so I canceled the other company and went with Finest Movers . The price just made my budget. I just had to downsize a little but the service was flawless and the move was a piece of cake. Thanks Finest Movers    .

Long-distance move from Florida to Ohio

Poor.

My daughter hired this company to move her small amount of apartment items from FL to OH. As soon as they arrived, they doubled the original quote. They charged her $300 extra for carrying 3 boxes of dishes to the moving van! The drivers were extremely rude and smart-alecky, even to my husband. She had to leave her her mattress and couch behind because they wouldn't take it without charging her another extra $600. Isaac would never return calls and was very evasive. Collin didn't follow through on anything. It has now been three weeks and her things are finally being delivered, yet the moving van is too large to fit through the storage company's gate, so everything has to be moved to my brother-in-law's pickup. Then, we have to unload it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! PLEASE LEARN FROM OUR EXPERIENCE AND SAVE YOURSELVES THE STRESS WE ARE GOING THROUGH. This has been one of the most hellish experiences of our lives.

Service cost: $1100

Official company response

While we are sorry the move did not go as planned there are some fact you failed to state.
1. the dishes were not packed and packing was not included in the estimate so you were charged for packing and for the numerous extra boxes you had that were not listed on the inventory.
2. you requested we delay the delievery by at least a week so you can get situated which we did and we are sorry that you feel the timeline was not accomodataing but we did give you that delievry window and it was on your signed contract meaning you understood the delivery window and were fine with it.
3. we did not double the quote you had extra items and services and were given a revised estimate and then charged accordingly.

We would be happy to address any concerns brought up with any clinets. We strive to give the highest level of service.

Long-distance move from Texas to Florida

Poor Customer Service.

This company was late with pickup and deleivery, several items were damaged or missing.  When I filed a claim for damage and missing items it took 3 months for them to send me an offer.  I returned the signed offer and it has been sitting at the post office in their city for a week.  I sent two emails and made a call to their office regarding the letter and they still has not picked it up and they had a week to pick up the letter.

The clients claim was processed and he is upset because some of the claims made were denied and frankly foud to be fraudlent. We are sorry he found it necessary to go through the claims process. Finest Movers does over 100 moves a month and has a less than 3% claim rate.

Long-distance move from Florida to Texas

Everything DAMAGED.

The only positive I can say is they were on time and worked with me on trasporting my things.  They destroyed every single item I have and told me to file with "insurance."  I did and never heard another word from them.  All of my possessions were totally ruined and I have had to start over.  Some were collectors items that cannot be replaced.  I filed a complaint with the Fort Lauderdale BBB and they did nothing.  BEWARE..  maybe local moves are ok, but don't do a long distance move and expect your things.

Service cost: $7500

Official company response

While we apologize for any difficulties during your move there are two sides to the story. First the client had alot of additional items that they decided to ship that originally when quoted were supposed to be left out because the client told us she was selling them. After the items failed to sell she had to move them and we worked out a price that she could afford by giving her a substantial discount. The client did pack some items herself and she did so poorly so those items were damaged along with some older particle wood furniture that we advised her to sell in the first place because it would be neither price efficient to move nor would hold up well on a 2500 mile move. we did tell the client that insurance would cover the items and to file a claim which which our claims adjuster would assist her with and we are in the process of doing a claim. Also the reason The BBB took no action is because they found they we did operate within our guideslines and with integrity while dealing with the move.

Long-distance move from Florida to Oklahoma

Absolute Worst.

The pickup of my furniture was one of the worst moving experiences I have ever had.  The intial estimate for my move was 1100 dollars.  That quickly changed when the movers arrived and only after packing their truck with my stuff did they tell me that the price had doubled because of the amount of "cubic feet" of furniture I had.  Obviously, these people have no idea how to calculate cubic feet considering I had to correct them and bring out my tape measure to show them how it's really done.  Not only could the movers not perform basic math calculations critical to the overall price of my move, they would constantly hit on me making me feel incredibly uncomfortable (Any single women moving should have someone with them during pickup).  One of the men even kept repeating how pretty I was and how I needed to promise him to never stop smiling.  VERY UNPROFESSIONAL for a moving company.  As soon as this company took possession of my things they refused to answer any phone calls I made to them dealing with the status of my delivery.  In fact, everytime I called they said someone would call me back and they never did.  So I decided to stay on the phone until someone would speak to me and the woman who answered kept putting me on hold and then would hang up on me.  Finally, my delivery arrived by men who were contracted out from different moving companies.  These men were absolutely amazing and professional and I will make sure to use their company if I ever need movers again.  Unfortunetly, most of my items including my antique loveseat were badly damaged due to the carelessness of "Finest" movers.  The men who dropped my stuff off claimed that this is very common amongst finest movers and that they were surprised that none of my items were stolen.  It was also explained to me how this company rips off their customers with the whole measuring in "cubic feet" ,since most people don't know how to calculate this to begin with.  Bottom line, this company should not be allowed to operate.  Spend your money elsewhere because in the end, anyone is better than Finest Movers.       .

Long-distance move from Florida to New Jersey

Totally Unprofessional, Careless, Unresponsive.

My move of estate items from Florida to New Jersey was a disaster.  While the salesman & I went over in detail all items to be shipped(including detailed list of itees with dimensions), and I received a very resonable "Binding Moving Estimate", the driver who showed up 2 hours late insisted on an additional 45% price increase, or he would not move all the items.  I was in NJ with a personal friend in FLA to supervise the pick-up.  After a heated telephonic shouting match with the rudest driver possible, I told him to leave.  His supervisor called me back, and I settled on a 33% increase to $2,000, provided all the listed items be moved.  Nonetheless, when the driver finished, he pressured my friend to sign the shipping manifest, but left behind a good number of the items which were clearly listed on the Quote.  Calls to the office the next monday resulted in their insisting I pay an additional $250 for them to return for the other items, which I declined to accept.  I was not allowed to speak to anyone of authority, or more accurately, no one of authority was willing to get on the phone.
The delivery was suppose to take 5 to 7 days, but took 12 days.  The delivery driver and helper were polite, careful and professional.  However, 2 boxes were totally unaccounted for, and some other items were badly broken.  A number of delicate antique lamps were assumed to be in the boxes--totally missing---and the legs were fully broken off an antique table.  The driver acknowledged the issues in writing, and I paid the balance, being told to file a claim as the move was covered by basic insurance.  The claim process was a burden..pictures,  valuations etc..missing and broken items were valued over $4,000.  Again no body of authority would get on the phone to discuss or even to go over the process of finding the missing boxes.  The claim process took about 2 months and I was offered $37 in full settlement, provided I had the agreement notarized.
The lessons I learned---don't accept a moving quote without a visit from a company rep.  Be cautioned that the basic insurance is worthless.  My wife would be much more emotional..as the items had sentimental value as well.  I found that FINEST MOVERS were anything but FINEST in their interest in customer service once the order is taken.  Somewhere, someone has some VERY nice antique lamps.

Long-distance move from Florida to Wyoming

Worst experience imaginable.

I was relocating cross country from Florida to Wyoming, and weighed the cost/benefits of renting a truck and towing my car vs. a moving company. I was worried about driving a big truck and making it to Wyoming in a timely manner. Finest Movers gave me the best quote. The movers were several hours late for pick up. I went several hundred dollars over my quote, despite my moving much of my own stuff in my car and the movers not packing judiciously. Then I waited two months for my property to arrive. Communication was poor and the guy who delivered was very rude. There were missing and damaged items. On top of that, the driver hired two guys off the street to help unload and reassemble my furniture! This being my first experience with a moving company, I'm not sure if that is common practice, but it seemed shady. Next time, I don't care if I'm moving from L.A. To Boston, I'll rent a truck and do it myself!!

Service cost: $3000

Official company response

While we apologize to the client if the move failed to meet there expectations we did disclose to the client that delivery for their move due to the remoteness of the location in Wyoming may take 45 to 90 days and they were in agreement to go forth with the move. The client told us they were not interested in so much the length of time that it would take but instead were concerned about the cost. And while their were some minor overages due to packing that was needed we did execute the move within the clients budget.Any damaged items are covered by insurance and we apologize for any hardships endured a claim will be processed as soon as we receive it.

Long-distance move from Texas to Rhode Island

Terrible service, experienced hell with them.

Now I understand the important of reviews before availing the service so thought of writing one. I hired Finest movers to move my luggage of 1 bedroom apartment from Dallas to Rhode Island. On the day of delivery the driver was rude and raised the price by $1000 saying volume of luggage is more than expected. I asked him to leave one of the manager calls me and says I need to pay $500 extra or they will not provide the service. That day being the last day in my apartment I had to succumb to their torture and accepted the price. As expected goods delivered were late and 2 boxes had my kitchen stuff all broken inspite of clearly written on the boxed being fragile. TV shelf / coffe table is damaged. Total loss of around $500, on calling they have sent Claim form asking me to buy a camera with  a roll and send them non digital photos. Another way of torturing their cusotmers.  I strongly suggest and advice avoid Finest movers at any cost or experience the pain like I did.

The client had more items to be shipped than originally indicated therefore the added cost. We told him of the extra cost prior to loading and gave him a discount on it. Sorry if we failed to meet his expectations we try our best.

Long-distance move from Texas to Utah

Beware - scammers - using multiple names.

Beware! This was an extremely painful experience. They will give you a quote, demand more $ when they show up and then take their sweet time delivering your items. Most of my things were damaged or broken. At first, their customer service is impeccable, but when they've got your stuff you'll be lucky to get them to answer the phone, much less tell you where your stuff is! They will try and say you went over your cubic footage allotment, that they are charging you for blankets and packaging. I finally had to threaten then with calling the authorities before I got my stuff delivered. Then the driver showed up by himself - so I had to help move my items into my new house at 10 pm on a Sunday night, in the dark! They also left some items behind in the closet at my old house. I guess since they weren't being watched like hawks they decided certain things were inconvenient to move so I found items left behind, literally thrown in closets. Also, they used my bathroom and urinated on the floor. I was told my items would not be unloaded and reloaded - false - that's exactly what happened. They go by several names so beware: finest movers, United transport, and movingservicesinc.Com run the other way. It was an awful experience with rude, incompetent people who will not return calls. Namely: Colin, Clif, Michelle (dispatch manager) and Isaac. The claim process is equally as painful and I've given up on getting any answers from them. I will be contacting any agencies that investigate fraud as I believe this is what kind of business they are running. Also - they will tell you they are a rated company with BBB. False - they actually are not accredited by BBB so no one can file a complaint so they maintain a decent rating. Do your research.Beware! This was an extremely painful experience. While we are sorry that Merritts expectations were not met during the service we did move her from Texas to Kanab, Utah which is a very small out of the way town for the quoted price. Just to be clear she paid the price we estimated her at not a PENNY MORE! I have signed contracts from her showing such. Also while we are sorry the driver arrived alone for delivery but his helper had to go to the hospital for an injury and the town was too remote and out of the way to get another helper to sub for him but the driver did get the job done and worked late and hard to do so. I can confidently say that the client git a great price and a good effort at providing and completing the service.

Long-distance move from Florida to California

Worst company ever!

I filled out a list of items which I want to move from Florida to California. The estimated price was around $2,900 including transport material, packing. After the guys packed everything into the truck (I decided to bring 2 queen beds less a table less and 4 chairs less) I was told that the price is now over $6,000! In order to get my furniture to California, I had to pay so that the truck would start. Next day I called Isaac, who is responsible and told him about my problem with the price. He told me that he will check on that and give me a call back right away. This was now 10 days ago, I have never heard back from him, either have I ever heard anything about the expected arriving time of my furniture!! I call them every day, they answer the phone rude and Isaac seems never to be available and they promise me every day that I'll get a call back in a few minutes. I never received a callback and I have no idea where my furniture is or when/if it will arrive at my new location. I just informed my lawyer and will do anything I can until I get part of my money back and my furniture has arrived here! I'll let you guys know about the outcome.

Service cost: $6100

Official company response

While we try to please every client unfortunately that is not possible. We do however always communicate to our clients and strive to find solutions. Mr. Kuntz had alot more items than estimated and needed alot more packing therefore the increase in the cost. We explained this to the client and showed him all the extra items he had and packing he needed. We provided him a new revised estimate prior to starting the job and he agreed to the new price. We did what we could price wise but the client moved over 2500 miles and it is not cheap.

Long-distance move from Texas to California

Stolen and Damaged Goods.

Finest Movers stole over $3,000 worth of items including an HD camera, iPod and Professional KitchenAid Mixer. They damage 80% of my items all which totaled over $10,000. The head mover, Sean, forced me to pay him $550 for his personal commission, for a fictional long-carry fee - which was made out to him to cash. I was never compensated for any of my goods or stolen money. They blamed me for not making sure my things were packed correctly and for making sure my things were not stolen. They charged me over $1,000 extra for my move despite the fact that my initial estimate included a precise inventory list. I would NEVER recommend anyone to use this company. .

Service cost: $4162

Official company response

We asked this client to provide proof or substantiate that these missing items were in her shipment and at the least to produce receipts for the items and she did neither. She is claiming $10000 in losses which is unheard of. We tried to reasonably work out the claim with the client but she insisted on threatening us with complaints if we didn't capitulate to her demands. We are an A rated company and the accusations she is making is not representative of the world class service we provide. We do settle all claims and even offered this client a settlement of $800 without her providing proof of the missing items and she declined.

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Very Poor Service.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!  The total charge was almost twice the estimate; but I can see that it is hard to estimate when you don't see all the items. Although I have a feel now that they purposely giving such a low estimate to lure a client it. Here are our troubles with them: They broke a huge mirror, while packing it (about $400); told me that they have a shop they work with and they will put the new mirror in the frame and put it on the truck before it heads out. When my husband received our furniture in NYC there was no "fixed mirror" only empty frame.. When I called the company, the put me through Mr. Michaels (real "nice gentleman") who told me to "F**K OFF" and said that I should feel very lucky that I received my stuff at all.  Per contract the company is disassembling and reassembling your furniture.  Well, when they brought the furniture to NYC the driver only help my husband to assemble the basic structure of one bed; after the he said he has to go and LEFT.   All the furniture was left not assembled, glass shelves not unpacked (also in the contract), etc. On the top of that the large box with liquor was stolen; how more unprofessional can you go.. The sales person I was dealing with prior to the move was very nice.  Unfortunately his "nice" attitude has changed when they received 100% of our payment.  I emailed him about the mirror, mentioning how rude his general manager Mr. Michaels was, as well as the situation with poor delivery/reassembly service.  His attitude was totally different from before; basically he told me we are making it all up, we have to feel lucky we have received out stuff mostly undamaged, etc..  When I mentioned that I am very upset that it turned to be such a bad experience and unfortunately I will have to write a bad review for their business; instead of apologizing, he said that writing bad reviews is evil and called me a prima donna.. As I said - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE company. I hope my review will help other people to make a decision NOT TO USE FINEST MOVERS.

Official company response

Below is the response by our hardworking Representative Greg who dealt with Elena throughout the move. We appreciate you taking the time to read our side of the story.
Best regards,
Cliff Michaels
General Manager

I am Gregg Henderson, the moving specialist of Finest Movers, Inc., who arranged the move from southern Florida to Manhattan for Elena and Scott Minton. Due to Elena Minton’s negative review of our moving services I am compelled to respond to her comments. Preliminary to, and during their move, we responded to over 40 emails and too numerous to mention telephone calls from her to myself, and our general and dispatch services, which really amounted to needless nuisances. Our move services included shuttle services into Manhattan and drop off at destination residence and we met each target pick-up and destination dates requested. We arranged third party insurance coverage and the glass damage which the Minton’s suffered was fully covered by insurance, subject to its deductible. The Minton’s make the outrageous assertion that a box labeled “LIQUOR” was stolen by our crew and that our crew left before completing the assembly of a glass and wooden cabinet. First off we would never transport liquor because that is against The Department of Transportations’ regulations and we follow all DOT regulations strictly. Despite the frustration of working with a very difficult client the crew never threw up their hands at Elena Minton’s behavior and at the end of the pickup Scott Minton handed our crew a “generous tip for their hard work.” Would you tip someone who did not do a good job? Upon receiving Elena Minton’s email threatening a negative review, I emailed her my suggestion, which she did not take to heart: “if you can't say anything good about us, say nothing at all,”. Although we strive to please all our clients and we have positive feedback from the majority some people are impossible to please.
Thank you and God Bless.

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Finest Movers: Worst Company, Scams, Broken Items, Price Gouging.

Their name is a farce as they are clearly not the finest movers. They are a scam and run a "bait and switch" game with you along with threats. They operate out of 2 different office locations, but the phone number (1-800-234-5731) is the same for both. The website has this address: 16850-112 Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles, Florida 33160 The paperwork has this address: 2525 Park Lane, Hallandale, Florida 33009 Here is our story: My wife and I were moving to New York City from Tampa, Florida with a scheduled pickup date of July 3, 2013. We had a "binding estimate" from Alex Harmon at Finest Movers for $1889.00. We paid a 20% deposit via online check and thought everything was ready to go. We even called a few days prior and spoke to Ryan at Finest Movers and let him know we had a few less boxes, but a few more wardrobe boxes. He said "that won't be a problem since they aren't unusual shape". On the day of the mover, the mover's got to our apartment almost 3 hours late. The actual mover's did a good job in terms of the speed they worked getting our items packed. The foreman mentioned to my wife that the estimate the company gave was "really low" and that the cost was going to be much more. After packing all of our items into the truck, the foreman shows my wife that now the cost was going to be $5270 and 50% of that amount is due immediately. We were unable to contact Finest Movers that night since they were closed by the time the movers finished loading the truck. My wife was forced to pay $2446.50 that night. On July 5, my wife contacted Finest Movers and asked to speak to a manager. She kept getting transferred to a voicemail, where she left multiple messages. No one ever called her back. On Monday July 8th, she spoke to Ciara multiple times regarding the situation. She said she would look into it. She never did. She promised to call her back, which she never did. July 9th is when things turn a further turn for the worse. On July 9th, she called Finest Movers and was eventually transferred to Clifford Michaels, the general manager. She proceeded to explain the situation to Mr. Michaels, who then said he would give us a $400.00 discount. My wife then asked him "Do you think that is a fair amount?" Mr. Michaels responded with "F**k that, we're going to put a lien on all your stuff and sell it at auction" and hung up on her. My wife called back, and after being hung up on multiple (at least 4) times, finally got in touch with Ciara again. Ciara told her that in order to have our stuff delivered, we would have to send them an email or fax stating that we promise to pay the remaining amount in cash or postal order only. They had our stuff, what were we supposed to do? We sent the email to them and got a confirmation email stating the items would be delivered. The night prior to delivery, the driver called us saying they would need to use a separate truck for the delivery that would cost us an additional $550, which had to be paid in cash. Delivery was scheduled for July 12, 2013 They subcontracted the delivery to another company. The driver of this company stated that the truck was all packed when he went to pick it up. When he attempted to deliver our items, not only was my wife and her friend in shock, but so to were the deliverymen. Most of the boxes were severely damaged by water and physical damage (see pictures). One of our TVs was missing as well as one of our boxes (they had to make a second delivery Sunday July 14th with the TV and box). Much of the furniture was damaged (see pictures). Our form fitted mattress was loaded and stored incorrectly and now is all misshapen. The delivery man wrote was so shocked that he wrote us a letter with this information as well. We called Finest Movers on July 12, 2013 while the delivery was happening. I spoke to both Crystal and Elyse and explained what was happening. They told me their managers were in a meeting and one would call me when they finished. We have yet to hear from their manager, Leah Roberts (ext 103) or the general manager Clifford Michaels (ext 102). We will continue to contact them and see if they will honor their "100%  satisfaction guarantee" that is posted on their website. However, this guarantee was mentioned to Mr. Michaels when my wife spoke to him initially when he hung up on her, so we doubt we will get the 100% satisfaction guarantee.  .

Long-distance move from Texas to Pennsylvania

Finest Movers did a fine Job for Us!!

After getting some quotes for my upcoming move I narrowed it down to Finest Movers. I am soo glad I did picking the right mover can be hit or miss. They were on time and very professional handling my goods especially my baby grand piano. I was worried about having damages but there were none. The price came in lower than two other quotes I got and there were no suprises or unforseen overages. The crew and my sales rep were great start to finish so here is an extra pat on your backs. thanks.

Long-distance move from Texas to Georgia

Overall Experience.

Horrible service, do not use.  They gave me an estimate of $1750 for my move from Houston to Atlanta, movers were disrespectful, charged for everything and then weighted the truck and it ended up being $5,200.  They give you a low estimate and a high price per pound, then when they go weigh it, they use the high price, rather if you overestimated it they would have given a lower price due to weight, make them go to your house and estimate it.  Then they said it would arrive in two weeks, 2 days later they said it would be there, I had to cancel a trip because they would charge to unload and restore it even though they lied to me.  Truck "broke" down and ended up being 6 days after the two days they told me. Called the office they said it had already been delivered.  What they do is hire a 3rd party transportation service and pay them 1/3 of what they get, so I had two delivery guys who had never moved anything in their life, they told me that, this was their first time.  My furniture was thrown in the truck along with others, I have pictures showing how my furniture was destroyed and if you look at the last paperwork before they first leave, every article on there shows broken, crack, damaged, scratched, dented, so when your furniture arrives, they have already covered their ass and you're screwed.  It's a complete sham, trust me, pay for United or the top shelf these guys are swindlers, I couldn't even talk to management he would get on the phone with me, no one ever returned my calls, it's amazing they are allowed to be in business.  They will probably move soon and changed their name to greatest movers..unbelievable.  On yeah, no refund, nothing. basically told me to sit on it.

Long-distance move from Michigan to Indiana

Excellent service.

Moving is not a fun experience, I had to move from Michigan to Indiana because of my new job, and to do so I started looking at the internet to find a good mover. I came across finest movers who had good reviews. I called and got in touch with Greg, he was extremely helpful. Move was very smooth and as promised and scheduled. I am an extremely happy customer,I will definitely choose them again for my moving needs.

Long-distance move from Mississippi to California

Liars..stay away.

First of all, I think all the 5 star reviews about them are paid reviews. There is no way this company can earn so much star excellent reviews, as it is a group of liars. They were very polite and shows to take care of your moving to get the contract. Once you signed off, then trouble starts. I was told, they were the actual transporters and will move my stuff in "Finest movers" truck. But on the scheduled day of pick up, 3 guys with Penske rental truck showed up (2 days late - minus 1 star) in my house. When I asked, they told, Finest movers are just brokers and they sub-contracted my moving. Also they were given a delivery date, which is one month from the pick up date (I was promised by Greg, the sales representative that it will take only a week to 10 days to delver the stuff, again -1 star). As I had no other option, I agreed and signed the contract. They took my stuff and left the house. Next day I fot a phone from Greg, asking about the pick up, and again guarenteed that I will get my stuff in a week. And the truck driver will call me 24 hours before the expected delvery date promised by finest movers. Ok.. after 7 days, I didnot hear anything.. waited for another day.. no info.. Called finest movers and asked where my stuff was? they told me to hold on and hang up phone 3 times..(-1 star again). And again once they saw my number, they never picked up. I put my phone in private mode and called again.. Picked up and asked for Greg.. got him, and he told that he is going to call the driver and le me know where my stuffs are.. Ok fine.. hold for another 10 minutes, he returned and told me the driver is in my destination state and will be delivering my stuffs in a day. Great.. I asked for drivers phone number and he said he cannot give that info to me.. Ok fine.. waited for another day.. no calls.. no info.. Called finest movers again.. and ask them about what greg told me.. the lady replied that greg is only a sales person and he didnot have any idea of dispatch and no way he can call the driver (big fat lier,,,, again -1 star). They keep saying that the driver will call me, but can't say where was my stuff. Then I remember that the guys came for pick up gave me a card with their info and I tried that number. Phone was picked up by a lady with a moving company in LA, and told me they got my stuff in their storage and they will be delivering my stuff once they get a truck coming this way. And Finest movers take the advance money from me and sub-contracted it.. So they are very smart people, just sitting there ane getting money from me.. haha..Any way after another week, I got a call from the lady and said, they find a truck and will be delivering my stuffs in a week. Finally after 3 weeks, 2 weeks after the promised delivery, I got my items, in pretty good condition, and was delivered by a third mover.. These people are brokers.. unless you live in FL, they can't get your stuff in their own trucks.. Stay away as this is a bunch of liars simply sitting and making money out of you..

Long-distance move from Pennsylvania to Texas

Awful Experience.

Highlights: Delivery was over a week late, items were missing, others were damaged, they scratched up my new front door, and worst of all, I could not get a hold of my contact at Finest Movers after he took my money. I am very easy going and easy to please, but Finest Movers completely dropped the ball every step of the way. Once I found out they were going to completely miss my move-in date, I called or emailed almost daily to get ahold of my main contact at Finest, and to this day I have still not received a reply of any kind. I just can't understand how a business can operate like that. It is very unnerving when things are going wrong with your move and you can't get in touch with your movers. You are left helpless. I also discovered that the support email on their website: support@finestmovers.com is not even a working email address. If you end up using Finest Movers, at least request to work with someone other than Greg. Also be prepared to live without your belongings for at least 2 weeks after your promised move-in date. And finally, put a blanket over your front door so you don't need to repaint it later.   Cheers!

Long-distance move from Georgia to Florida

Thanks for a great move!

I highly recommend the guys from Finest Movers! My latest move really was a positive experience (well, as positive as any move can be). In my experience, moving from state to state is a huge pain, because there is so much to think about and so much to remember. But these movers were professional all the way from beginning to end. From the time I called to the time I received my belongings at my new home, I was treated with respect and interest. In the beginning when I called, the person on the phone was pleasant and even gave me a few suggestions to remember about doing my move (packaging, loading, unpacking, etc). The move was surprisingly within my $3000-$3500 budget. For a move from North Georgia to Central Florida, other movers that I called wanted at least another $1000. I’m glad I called around first. The movers confirmed with me the dates, and showed up early on the morning of the move. The movers worked well together (great teamwork), like they had been together for quite some time. I didn’t have that much stuff, so they were able to load the truck quickly. My belongings were treated carefully. At the end of the move, I discovered NO broken or damaged belongings. The moving team didn’t just “drop and go”, they placed the items in the area my wife and I needed, so that items that might be needed more immediately were available to us first. They were able to place bigger items in the rooms that they might go in (bedroom, bathroom, living room, etc). In the past, another moving company I had used just dropped everything in the garage and left. Not the guys from Finest Movers. They actually took the time to make sure we were satisfied, while working quickly and efficiently. It is important to me to not have to worry about someone else having to handle my belongings, and I felt that I could trust the moving crew from Finest Movers. I am grateful to them for taking care of my move. Thanks guys!

Long-distance move from Texas to Washington

Great Move, Great Company.

I just wanted to give a big high-five to the folks at Finest Movers, Inc. I was really stressed over the move (long distance, no help, new job, etc.) and Finest Movers came through for me big time. They were very patient and understanding about all of my fragile items and antique furniture. Understanding that some items have value that is WAY above the face value was something I didn't have to explain to the moving crew. They took care of everything, wrapped every item professionally and safely, didn't ding up my old house OR my new place getting the stuff in, and everything was in great shape. I had some VERY heavy items (an old couch, dresser, wardrobe, etc.) and they made sure they were properly loaded. My kids were very interested in all of the activities and they were very patient and careful around the kids, dog, cat, etc. The moving crew was punctual and came right when they said they would. The truck took an extra day because of weather, but they kept us informed the whole time and we knew right when the truck arrived at our new house. Finest Movers is just a truly professional company who knows how to do their jobs right. They have the equipment, training, organization and people to make your move as effortless as possible. I am just so grateful that I didn't have to do all the hard work myself and am now settled into a new job in a new town that is starting to feel like home. Thanks, Y'all!! Jeff.

Long-distance move from Florida to North Carolina

The Best Florida Had 2 Offer.

I highly recommend Finest Movers Inc..They offer a much needed service to the elderly, like me who have run into residential and business challenges. My company had to downsize our office so that's why we inquired Finest Movers Inc. We had to close an office which was 5000 Sq ft. The Finest Movers Inc, team here provided emotional support in helping us to move the furniture out the two level office building from Miami, Florida to Fayetteville, NC. The price Finest Movers Inc quoted me was far less than I expected.. Finally, the financial challenge hit home to me personnally. Thus, I had to sell my luxury condo quickly and your team offered again emotional support to help me move even though the loss of my condo was draining me financially and emotionally. May God bless your business in sound fiscal growth.
